A watcher introduced me to these Sprout pencils ...so I bought a pack, and proceeded to waste one drawing Liska here (no problems with Liska as a character, rather my art in general entails a waste of paper and graphite). ^^
Anyway...
What's a Sprout pencil?
Concisely, the stub can be planted to produce flowers (etc).
The green ferrule is a kind of capsule that contains some organic material (seeds). That end of the pencil is to be buried (like a stake) into some soil. The capsule will break open, thus allowing the seeds within to germinate.
My guess is I could just pour the contents into some soil, but I'll do as the instructions say. ^^
This particular pencil contains carnation seeds. Included also in my pack of five were pencils containing daisy, forget-me-not, sage and thyme (respectively).
The novelty of the Sprout pencil really is the seed gimmick, as the pencil itself ...well, let's say I've used better (but I've used worse, to be fair----at least the drag isn't waxy).
As for Liska, she's a earth fox/kitsune creature from Lego's 'Elves' line (I was gonna drawa character from Ferngully, but changed my mind last-minute). :P
Hey I already recognized that pencils when I saw only the thumbnail of this were used to sell them at my work but I believe they didn't were a big success but today I still saw those packs were you could put in 5 pencils in the storage room....
Anyway very nice drawing ^w^

As for the pencil, I'll keep one unused, but the others I may saw them off near the tops and plant the stubs (just to see if they work). Alas, it's close to winter, so I should probably wait.
Thx! As for the pencil, I'll keep one unused, but the others I may saw them off near the tops and p
