Background: Damien Gendricks was born on May 17th, 1930 as a male Rabbit. He was born with blue and white fur, along with pink and white markings, light-blue hair and green eyes. His parents were both rabbits, Amelia and Danny Gendricks. Damien was born in Huntington, West Virginia, but when he was four months old, Damien was left at an orphanage.
Even though he lived in an orphanage with other kids, Damien had a pleasant childhood. He liked playing with the other kids and got good grades in school. As a kid, Damien took karate, for he felt he had a spirit for fighting. Growing up, Damien developed an Elegant personality. He liked to talk in a polite tone, which got him respect from other kids and his school teachers.
In high school, Damien like to get romantic with the girls. He also liked to do pull-ups and take long walks, as well as eat carrots. When Damien turned 18, everything changed. Damien was walking home from school, when he got attack by a Male hippo and a cheetah. Damien used his Karate skills to fight them off, then made a run for it. He made it to a back alley road when a long car pulled up. Damien saw a male Brown Gorilla in a suit open the car door and told him to get in.
When Damien asked who the gorilla was, he saw the hippo and cheetah were right behind him and he jumped right into the car. Damien was confused and panicked, he had no idea what was happening. The gorilla told him that they would explain things when they got to the safe house. The gorilla then put a hood over Damiens head and told him to relax. Damien was plunged in darkness for what seemed like hours, then the car came to a stop and Damien was taken out and escorted.
Damien felt the hood was removed and saw he was in a room with nothing but a desk and chair. After he sat down, Damien was met by a male orange tiger in a suit and tie, same as the gorilla. The tiger spoke with a Spanish accent and introduced himself as Victor Romero and he was the head of UDB9, the United Defense Bureau, Sector 9. Damien was confused at first, but the gorilla, Alfred explained that the UDB9 was a Secret Service Agency. Damien figured that they were Secret Agents, or mainly Spies. Victor assured Damien that they were spies, just like his parents.
Damien didn’t believe that his parents were spies, only knowing they abandoned him when he was a baby. Victor told him that his parents put him in an orphanage to protect him, then placed a book in front of him. Damien opened the book and saw pictures of two bunnies. Alfred told him that they were his parents. Damien looked at the pics and saw his parents back when they were part of the agency and on missions.
Victor explained to Damien that his parents Amelia and Danny were best UDB9 agents they had. His father was from England and his mother was from France. When Danny and Amelia were made partners, they fell in love. When Amelia found out she was pregnant, she and Danny retired from the agency and went off the grid. They married and had Damien.
When Damien asked why his parents abandoned him, Victor explained that UDB9 was in a long conflict with a secret organization known as SPEAR. Thanks to an undercover agent in their ranks, Victor learned that SPEAR found where Danny and Amelia were hiding and warned them in time. Knowing that SPEAR would never stop hunting them, Danny and Amelia left Damien at the orphanage to protect him.
Damien then saw a picture of his parents holding him when he was a baby. Alfred then explained that their undercover agent in SPEAR’s ranks learned about him and planed capture Damien in an attempt to draw Danny and Amelia out of hiding. Victor told Damien that his father Danny was a master at coding and decoding, and also new all the agencies secrets.
Victor then explained that they were going to keep Damien at the safe house for his own protection. But before leaving the room, Damien told them to make him a spy. Damien explained that he wanted to find his parents, and figured becoming a spy was the best way. Victor said he saw a lot of his parents in Damien, but warned him that if he went down the path to becoming a secret agent, there would be no going back. Damien kept a serious look as he told them he would do whatever it took to find his parents.
After agreeing to his request, Victor and Alfred took Damien to the UDB9 Headquarters. During the flight, Alfred explained they would arrange to fake Damiens death to protect his friends. When they arrived at headquarters, Damien was shown to his new underground apartment and then introduced to a male Golden Labrador named Albert Watson, who was Dannies old partner and trusted friend as well as the undercover SPEAR agent. Albert explained that he would be Damiens trainer and mentor.
Damien told him he was ready to start, but Albert told Damian they needed to get him outfitted. Damien was a then introduced to a male Brown Owl named Oliver, who was going to be Damiens personal Tailor. Albert then explained to Damien that all male and female UDB9 agents were required to wear Suits and Ties. So after about spending the full day with Oliver, Damien was dressed in a three-piece suit with a three-buttoned single-breasted jacket. Oliver also gave him an assortment of puffy ties.
Damien thought he looked rather elegant in the suit, but hated wearing it for three reasons. First, the suit was measured, tailored and outfitted to fit Damiens body exactly. Second, the shirt collar literally covered his neck. And the ties were puffy and pulled rather tight. Damien made a habit of pulling under the shirt collar and adjusting his ties
The next day, Damien began his training. The first thing Albert did with him was breath holding. Damien was strapped to a chair and a special mask was locked around his mouth and nose and then it was filled with water. Albert told Damien that all UDB9 Agents had to learn to hold their breath for long lengths of time. Damien found the breath training rather hard the first week.
In between breath training sessions, Damien learned how to use firearms, different forms of combat, running, climbing, swimming, stealth. He did all of the training in workout clothes, but mainly in his suits. Overtime, Damien got use to being in a dress suit everyday. After nearly 12 years, Damien was and experienced agent.
Damien was good at jumping since he was a rabbit. He was also an expert using a long range riffle, but Damien enjoyed doing undercover assignments. He always liked to play the role of the Elegant Gentleman. Damien was also able to hold his breath for a good 10 minutes.
Damien did a lot of missions, few of which resulted in him being bound and gagged. Damien felt constricted when tied-up because he was wearing a suit. He also hated meetings that lasted for hours. Damien liked making friends with the other agents. Even though his duties as an agent kept him busy, Damien never gave up on looking for his parents, knowing he would find them one day.
