No, that isn't the wrong date. I, in fact, drew this yesterday, but I didn't feel like uploading it then ...but now I do feel like it, so here it is. :3
So, on the left we have Dollar the Dog, from Hanna-Barbera's 'Richie Rich' animated series.
On the right, we have Nugget from Ruby-Spears's 'Goldie Gold and Action Jack'.
Both canines are pets of each show's respective, titular human characters.
Yes, Nugget is female, despite the name and lack of eyelashes. :3
Anyway, it seems Nugget likes Dollar, but ...this is the Chippy-verse, so who knows if Dollar will be receptive to her affections.
Either way, this ACO is a rare example of a crossover----I think my *last one was made back in April (Road Rovers with SWAT Kats). Before then (unless I missed something), the last was December 2018 (Today's Special with Under the Umbrella Tree).
*I don't count the Sept-11 ACO.
HYPOTHETICALWATCHER: "We don't care. Finish the comic"
I'll get to the comic when I get to it. ACO is my main thing---comics and quickies are just bonus material.
I'll be honest here---several days ago, I'd ran out of tablet (lined) paper to draw the comic on.
While at the store (to buy other things), I found some tablet paper and ...actually debated with myself whether I wanted to buy it. :P
I did buy the paper, but the point of the above was that I'm (at least) subconsciously bored of drawing (in general, I think---this includes ACO).
Anyway...
My thoughts on 'Richie Rich' and 'Goldie Gold and Action Jack'...
It's difficult writing for 'rich' protagonists, esp. when their wealth is at the heart of who the characters are.
In Richie Rich's case, the character is highly materialistic, yet generous and goodhearted overall.
Again, I've not much experience with these characters, but Richie didn't strike me as (too) obnoxious. ^^
The character of Richie Rich was born into money. Personally, I prefer it when a rich character has a better backstory for how they obtained their wealth (Scrooge McDuck is a terrific example----he earned everything he has and is 'greedy' in the best kind of way).
In general, wealthy persons IRL don't tend to talk much about money/possessions, but will go on and on about their achievements and escapades (per my experience, anyway).
And, no, I'm not 'hating' (or whatever the term is now). I myself live mostly on an inheritance/trustfund (my S/O was a German noblewoman), so I'm not about to claim any kind of moral or accomplished high ground (I'm also FAR from 'rich', which I define as being able to live off one's bank interest). :P
'Goldie Gold and Action Jack' focuses on adventure/stopping crime---the lead character just happens to be rich (kinda like Batman). ^^
Anyway, I'll soon get to work on more scribbles. I've much to do, as my draw list has grown a bit (why do I do this to myself?).
At the very, very least, I have two gifts to get to (I've not forgotten!), so expect more soon ...-ish. ^^
