I made this itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny sketch for fun because I like Rayman a lot :D I played quite a lot again with Rayman Legends lately, and I'm really fond of the Rayman games all together. And because why not, I tried to put together a female version of Rayman too, so he could have a sister :D Gender bending is always fun! :D

Many-many years ago I used to draw a lot more Rayman related stuffs. Back then I also gave him some semi-limbs, but still tried to somewhat keep the original idea of detached body parts. It's still a fun idea for me today :)

It's really sad that Ancel finally decided to leave the gaming industry for good...
This retirement to pursue different things may be well deserved, more power to him, but considering the fact that Ubisoft doesn't seem to even acknowledge the series' 25th anniversary, the chances of a new game coming out are close to absolutely none.
And even if there might be one, it's probably going to be another runner on mobile.

I'm not a fan of platformers but I looooove Rayman Legends and Origins. And Rayman as a character design is so much fun. There's not enough art of him out there.

I always wondered if sleeves would be affected by rayman's invisible "arms" or if the sleeves would just dangle loose because there was no arm in them.
