Two demons walked down a dimly lit hallway. One being made of a deep black smoke, eyes a faint yellow. The other being a more humanoid one with downward horns, sporting a grey shirt, red jeans, black boots and dark grey armbands.
The smoke one addressed the other in a dull tone, not looking him in the eyes. "Do not anger the snake. For if you do, you'll be subject to her venomous bite."
Deep red eyes blinked in confusion, a frown on his pail blue face. "Her?"
"Yes. You do know she summoned you personally right?"
He nods. "I was unaware that the one who requested me was a female. I thought it was a man."
"What gave you that assumption?"
"The name."
The two came to a stop in front of an intricately decorated door. A silhouette encased in thorns, it's only distinct feature being the rubies in place of eyes, took up most of the door.
With the slightest movement smoke gestures to the door finally facing him. "She awaits you in there. Be careful. Choose your words wisely, Sir."
Mesmerized by the rubies, he barely manages to correct the smoke before they head back down the hall, "It's Gray."
He looks behind him in the smokes direction only briefly before refocusing on the door. Something about the rubies striking him with a sense of familiarity, as if he saw this specific pair multiple times before. Suddenly the door opened, surprising him. He looked back again, briefly thinking of leaving, before looking towards the door and finally deciding on entering the room beyond it.
A soothing feminine voice greeted him upon entering, "Hello Gray. It's been awhile." The door closing behind him, encasing the room in darkness once again.
His eyes scan the room in search of the voices' owner, settling on one corner. Glowing eyes the same shade of red as the rubies marking the door stared into him. That sense of familiarity rising again.
Before he could respond, the sound of fingers snapping filled the room, lights turning on seconds after. There in the corner was a female cobra clothed in a black suit, with one hand behind her back and the other raised.
Gesturing to herself with the raised hand she continues, surprising him with her next statement, "Though, you don't remember me just yet. Or do you, my darling?"
