Ari has the power to send superheated waves through her fingertips, assisted in direction by smacking her thick tail on the ground as she does so. These waves are intense and can instantly liquefy any meltable material. She can then manipulate this heated material around her in any way she sees fit within a certain radius. That includes cooling and reforming that which she has melted. This does and will include people. Ari is a force to be reckoned with and a suitable antagonist for Taylor in the first book. She does have hidden depths only alluded to in book 1, but will be revealed in time over the series.
