I'd probably go for a compromise - anthro thighs, but feral feet and hooves - this makes the legs even longer. I think long legs really make him look different from a goat that stood up on his rear legs

Longer legs is a stylisation indeed, but quite light. Sometimes people can't separate cheetah from leopard. I am not sure if Longer legs is a bright feature of furry Faun :)

And if you need a kinda idea, maybe do something like that and end up with some ancient egypt god like Horus or Toth. Or maybe more fittin' you try to draw Jupiter as an old grumpy lion throwing lightnings everywhere. Or make a fun of it, that Jupiter/Zeus was such a womanizer. XD ^^
