It was a running gag in one episode where a regular butterfly flew around Bikini Bottom (don't ask how), and everyone would think that it was pretty at first. Then it would do just like in the picture and land on somebody's nose. There would be a cut scene to a close-up of an actual butterfly looking very much like an insect. Then the character would freak out and run away screaming. Eventually the entire town was running away and hiding from it as it just floated lazily and harmlessly by.
