This gas station is featured in Part 36 of Clarence Coyote and Project Courier, and is depicted as being on Highway 41 between Moriarty and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The gas station is first mentioned on page 25 of Part 36.
This view is depicted as looking north toward Santa Fe.

This is during the year 1960.
Weston's Flying A advertises a mechanic is on duty from 8:00 am to midnight, and 24 hour towing.

Roy Coyote, age 46, runs 1st shift, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is a professional auto mechanic. When Roy also goes out on towing calls, he places a "be back in a while" sign on the front door and lock up the station and pumps long enough to do the towing job.

The owner of the station, Weston Hound Dog, age 61, runs 2nd shift from 4:00 in the afternoon to midnight.
Weston is also a professional auto mechanic and also goes out on tow truck calls...Like Roy Coyote, when Weston gets a call for towing, he will lock up the station and hang out the "be back in a while" sign long enough to go do the towing job.

Tyler Ferret, age 19, runs the 3rd shift from midnight to 8:00 in the morning (the graveyard shift). Tyler Ferret graduated high school in the class 1959, and a graveyard shift gas station attendant is his first job. Tyler Ferret doesn't enjoy the extra income afforded by doing automotive repair work. Tyler has never learned how to work on cars...In fact, Tyler's lack of automotive work is as such he wouldn't know a cam shaft from a crank shaft.
However, Tyler is certified to operate the tow truck, thus he can go out on towing calls for the extra commission it pays.
And there are sometimes the tips motorists give attendants for pumping gas...Pumping gas wasn't self service back in those days.

Tyler Ferret has always been a Mamma's boy, and though being somewhat passive, he does have a charismatic personality.
Tyler Ferret has a rather petite build for a male, and not so tall in stature.
Teens like Biff, Richie and Gaston Pit Bull would view Tyler Ferret as a happy go lucky candy-ass. However, Weston Hound and Roy Coyote are cool with Tyler Ferret and always treat him okay.

Weston does keep a 38 under the counter in case during his evening shift someone attempts an armed robbery.
Roy Coyote however, works the day shift. And back in those days it was almost unheard of to hear about a gas station being robbed during the day...It wasn't even often you'd hear about a station in that part of the state getting robbed at night, although it was not unheard of.
Weston Hound had at one time offered to leave his 38 with Tyler Ferret to have it when he's on shift, being that Tyler's shift is the one that starts at midnight.
However, as Tyler mentioned to Weston, he is scared of guns and declined the offer...Well, at any rate, they are in a part of the country that doesn't often see violent crime anyway.

The blue 1957 Ford parked out back is Weston Hound's car...Obviously in the pics, it is between the hours of 4:00 pm and midnight.
Weston's '57 Ford is a low price base model that was around $2,000 new (plain Jane car). The car is equipped with a six cylinder motor and manual 3 speed transmission (three on the tree).

Pics #5 & #6 show when Roy Coyote is on shift. The green 1956 Ford long bed pick up truck is his.

If your the type who likes a quiet life with few people around this would be the ideal workplace.

There used too be one on the motorway out of my city but now it's staffless and only uses electronic payment and self service.

Too bad neither this or my one is Sinclair!
