Joey went over to his cousin Elise's house today. Although Elise loved her cousin, she sometimes felt like he bragged too much about his being a hybrid of an otter and a kangaroo, Joey mentioned how fun it was to stand on his tail and proudly gave his cousin a demonstration. This made Elise look at her normal otter tail and wonder what it would be like to have a kangaroo tail.
It's okay, Elise. As a fellow otter, I'll say this about long tails. They may be impressive on land, but they can weigh and otter down in the water. Otters with small tails make for speedy swimmers.
