Don’t be. While completely fictional I feel like I have learned something through your writing. I had never considered the idea that getting mental help in these types of jobs could halt your career progression. I am really rooting for her to have a happy ending when this is all done.

Keep up the good work!

These are things LEOs and detectives face.
Psychological issues happen in this line of profession, and are things that need to be addressed. They manifest in odd ways depending on person to person.

And its so true as well, Here in the US mental health is still treated rather poorly. Depending on your job or religions you face many challenges just for wanting to seek help. I wish that it was more accepted in the end because often times we cannot face all of our problems alone.

I'm reminded of a scene from a biofilm about Queen Elizabeth. After putting her foot down with her nobles, teaching them that she is Queen and therefore boss of England and not they, after withdrawing from them, in a private chamber the faints dead away from the exertion of asserting herself.
