As Leonidas and Anna watched the next match, Anna then said, “Oh, Leonidas there’s someone I want you to meet.” “Who is it?” Leonidas asked a bit curiously. “My cousin Sedarah, that’s who.” Anna said. “Alright then, where is she?” Leonidas asked. “Sitting right next to me, she even likes what you did in your battle earlier.” Anna said. “She does, really?” Leonidas asked. “Yeah, not kidding, ask her for yourself.” Anna said. Leonidas then looked over to the brown Dragoness with a necklace that had a crystal hanging from it and tapped her shoulder. Sedarah then looked over to Anna, but then looked on the other side of Anna to see Leonidas looking at her. “Hello.” Leonidas said. “Hello there.” Sedarah said with a smile on her face. “My little sister says that you like what I did in my last match.” Leonidas said. “Who’s your sister?” Sedarah asked. Leonidas then pointed his tail to Anna. Sedarah then gasped, and asked, “Anna, your brother is Leonidas the Dragon?” “Yeah, he always has been, and always will be.” Anna said giving her brother a hug. Leonidas then hugged Anna back and placed a kiss on her forehead. Anna blushed and returned the kiss on her brother’s cheek. Leonidas smiled and held Anna close to him. Anna never wanted to leave her brother’s side. “Man, for brother and sister, you two really love each other a lot.” Sedarah said. “Yeah, we do.” Anna said and nuzzled her brother’s shoulder. “And we’re gonna keep it that way.” Leonidas said nuzzling his sister’s cheek. “Leonidas, do you mind if I ask you something?” Sedarah asked. “Ask away.” Leonidas said. “Would you possibly wanna be mates with me?” Sedarah asked. Leonidas’ blood then went cold and then he said, “Sedarah, I’m actually in a relationship with someone already.” “Oh, really, who are you in a relationship with?” Sedarah asked. “I’m not really comfortable saying her name around everyone here.” Leonidas said. “Oh, I see.” Sedarah said. “What do you see?” Leonidas asked. “You don’t want anyone to know who you’re in love with so you don’t lose your popularity.” Sedarah said. “No, that’s not even close.” Leonidas said with a bit of anger in his voice. “Brother, calm down, you know she’s only trying to get underneath your skin.” Anna said to Leonidas. “Hmm, your right sister, what happens when someone wins the entire tournament?” Leonidas asked Anna. “I heard that you get to bring bragging rights home, and whoever wins the tournament would become the new Fire Guardian.” Anna said. “Fire Guardian really?” Leonidas asked a bit curious. “Yeah, why do you ask?” Anna asked looking to Leonidas and noticed the look in his eye. Leonidas had the most serious look in his eyes and was now determined to win the tournament. “You’re gonna go all the way brother?” Anna asked. “Of course I am.” Leonidas said. “What’s gonna happen if we have to face off in the final round?” Anna asked? “If that happens we forget about everything else and give it our all.” Leonidas said. “Hmm, alright brother, I’m gonna head home, considering this tournament is gonna last for a couple days.” Anna said leaving with Sedarah. Sedarah stopped for a moment and told Leonidas, “Take some time to think about my offer.” Leonidas didn’t move an inch, until about six in the evening and then he left the arena and went home.
Leonidas went to his parent’s room and knocked on the door and he heard his mother say, “Come in.” Leonidas walked inside and looked to his mother with a sleeping Rachelle. “I see your home, how has tournament gone so far?” Cynthia asked. “Well, my first round match went actually very quickly.” Leonidas said. “You only made it through the first round?” Cynthia asked. “Yeah, apparently second matches are tomorrow.” Leonidas said. “Oh, I see, this is one of those tournaments that take a few weeks to finish isn’t it.” Cynthia said. “Yep, but there’s one thing I didn’t know about this tournament.” Leonidas said. “What’s that?” Cynthia asked. “The winner of the whole tournament becomes the new Fire Guardian.” Leonidas said. “Oh, that would be nice, having my two boys both being guardians.” Cynthia said. “But then how would that affect my social life, I can’t see my mate, I can’t see my daughter, I can’t see my sister, or my brothers?” Leonidas asked. “Oh, I see Leonidas, but are you sure you want to be in this tournament?” Cynthia asked. “I don’t really know mom, I mean, it would be nice to be the fire guardian but, I don’t know that much about being a guardian.” Leonidas said. “There, there Leonidas if you don’t want the position of Fire Guardian, you can always pass it onto someone else.” Cynthia said. “Who can I pass the Fire Guardian position onto?” Leonidas asked. “How about Spyro, I’m pretty sure Spyro would like to be the fire guardian.” Cynthia said. “True, but then what would Cynder do when Spyro’s not around?” Leonidas asked. “She could spend some time with me or she could fly around looking for you and spend some time with you.” Cynthia said. “That’s true too, but I really want to win this tournament but, how can I raise my daughter, spend time with my mate and do my duties as guardian at the same time?” Leonidas asked. “Spend time with your daughter in the morning, then bring her to me, in the afternoon go do your duties as the Fire Guardian, and then during the night, you can spend time with your mate.” Cynthia said explaining how Leonidas could spend his days as fire guardian. “Could that work?” Leonidas asked. “If it worked for your father, then it can work for you.” Cynthia said. Leonidas smiled and then gave his mother a hug. Cynthia hugged her son back and placed a kiss on his cheek. Leonidas then lowered down, while Cynthia carefully slid Rachelle onto Leonidas’ back, “Get some sleep my son, you’ve got another big match tomorrow.” Cynthia said. “Alright, good night mom, I love you.” Leonidas said kissing his mother on her cheek. “I love you too, my son.” Cynthia said with a smile. Leonidas then walked to his room without waking his daughter who was still asleep on his back and then he crawled into bed and placed Rachelle down on the pillow in front of him and placed a kiss on Rachelle’s forehead. Rachelle smiled in her sleep and nuzzled her father’s nose back and then fell back asleep. Leonidas then closed his eyes and fell asleep.
