As the sun started coming up, Leonidas slowly started to wake-up and then remembered that it was the day of the tournament and getting out of bed he tried not to wake-up his daughter and yet he put little Rachelle on his back and quietly walked down to the dining hall. By the time he reached the entrance of the dining hall, Rachelle had finally begun to wake-up. Leonidas the stopped before walking inside and then looked too little Rachelle and nuzzled her and then said, “Good morning my little one.” Leonidas said in a fatherly tone. Rachelle nuzzled her father back and then stayed lying down on his back and was hungry. Leonidas then walked into the Dining Hall and of course like always, he went over and sat next to his parents. Rachelle then climbed up her father’s neck up to his head and then down onto the table and turned to face her father. Spyro was a bit shocked when he saw little Rachelle. Terrador and Cynthia both smiled and gave each other a hug from looking at their adorable little granddaughter. Cynder was happy to see her little niece up on the table walking around. As everyone, except Rachelle received their meal, the moles went back into the kitchen and started preparing Rachelle’s breakfast. When Leonidas finished he stayed and watched Rachelle. Rachelle was finally got her breakfast and then like her father ate slowly and carefully trying not to get too full, and after Rachelle finished eating, she jumped back onto her father’s back and layed down. Leonidas then walked out of the Dining Hall and looked to the sun and saw that it was nearly 10:00 A.M. Leonidas then quickly went to his parents room knocked on the door. Terrador opened the door and said, “Leonidas, I see you’ve come to drop off Rachelle.” Leonidas nodded then slid Rachelle off his back and down his neck all the way down onto the floor in front of her grandfather. Rachelle then placed a kiss on her father’s nose wishing him luck in the tournament. Cynthia called Rachelle over and put Rachelle down on the bed. “Good luck son.” Terrador and Cynthia said in unison. “Thanks mom, dad.” Leonidas said and then left down to the arena.
Terrador closed the door to his room and looked back over to Cynthia and Rachelle and walked over towards them and asked, “Hmm, now that we’ve got our granddaughter, what should we do?” “I can’t really think of anything my love.” Cynthia said blankly. “Then, I guess we might as well make the best of it while we have the time.” Terrador said. Rachelle then nuzzled her grandmother’s leg and had the most adorable little face.
At the arena Leonidas had just arrived and was getting registered for the tournament. Leonidas looked around at all the Dragons that had entered; he knew that he was either in for some tough competition, or some really easy wins. The first match that he is scheduled to compete in wasn’t until high noon. So Leonidas wisely took his time and walked around and went around looking for his first round opponent. That is until he finally found him, it was a male Dragon with black scales and red horns and stomach scales, his eyes were also red, but he was a pure dark Dragon, and his name was Demetrius. Leonidas then recognized him and said, “Hey Demetrius.” “Leonidas, is that you?” Demetrius asked. “Yeah, it’s me.” Leonidas said. “What are you doing here?” Demetrius asked a bit curious. “I’m looking for my first round opponent, and it looks like my first opponent, is gonna be you.” Leonidas said. “Hmm, then it’s an honor to compete against you brother.” Demetrius said. “And may the best brother win.” Leonidas said extending his paw out for a hand shake. Demetrius accepted the hand shake and was proud to be competing with his younger brother. Leonidas and Demetrius then walked to a spot of where they could see what’s going on in the arena right now, and they saw that there was a match was going on. Leonidas and Demetrius decided to take front row seats to watch the battle. As they watched the battle they noticed all the fancy moves that were taking place in this match. “I wonder why some of these Dragon’s/Dragoness’ have fancy moves like that.” Demetrius said. “Maybe because they spend too much time trying to impress the crowd instead of fight, but who knows, maybe they do moves like that because they spend a lot of time practicing.” Leonidas said. “Hmm, although, being fancy isn’t gonna win you a match.” Demetrius said. “Yeah, the real way to win a match is by how fast you move, and how much power you have.” Leonidas said. “Exactly, I was gonna say that too.” Demetrius said. “Guess I beat ya to the punch.” Leonidas said exaggerating. Demetrius then looked up to the sun and saw that it was only 10:15 A.M. and that they had plenty of time before their match. “Wanna go scout out the competition?” Leonidas asked his brother. “Sure, let’s go.” Demetrius said. Leonidas and Demetrius walked back inside and then noticed that an Ice Dragon that looked very familiar, Leonidas walked over to him and said, “Hey Murghus.” “Leonidas, it’s been too long, how have you been brother?” Murghus asked. “I’ve never been better.” Leonidas said. “Good to know, are you here to compete in the tournament too?” Murghus asked. “Yeah, I also found Demetrius, who apparently is my first round opponent.” Leonidas said. “Really, the officials said that I was supposed to face you in the first round too.” Murghus said. “Hmm, maybe we’re scheduled to face off in a three-way match.” Leonidas said. “Hmm, that’s true.” Murghus said. “Well brothers, I guess it’s gonna be pretty fun having to face both of you at once.” Demetrius said. “Yeah, then it’s an honor to compete against both of you my brother’s.” Leonidas said with a hint of sportsmanship in his voice. “Same to you brother.” Demetrius and Murghus said in unison. Leonidas, Demetrius, and Murghus then walked over to a spot where they could watch the match that was going on and Leonidas noticed one of competitors being his little sister Anna. Anna was ready to finish off her opponent and then when her opponent got up, she finished him off and then when her opponent was KO-ed the announcer said, “Your winner of the first match of the day, Anna The Dragoness.” Anna then took a few moments to take in all the glory she earned from the match and went into the entrance and moved into the second round. Leonidas, Demetrius, and Murghus then got up and went to find Anna. Leonidas then found Anna and walked over to her and gave her a brotherly hug. Anna hugged Leonidas back and said, “Hey Leonidas.” “Hey Anna, I saw the end of your match, and you looked awesome out there too.” Leonidas said. “Awe, thanks bro, your sweet.” Anna said. “I hope that we could face-off sometime in this tournament.” Leonidas said. “I do too.” Anna said. Leonidas then placed a kiss on Anna’s forehead. Anna blushed and then asked, “When’s your match?” “My first round match isn’t until high noon, oh and it’s against my brother’s Demetrius and Murghus.” Leonidas said. “Really, it’s gonna be a triple threat match?” Anna asked. “Yeah, you gonna watch?” Leonidas asked. “Of course, I’ll be putting my money on you.” Anna said. Leonidas then smiled and placed a kiss on Anna’s forehead again and then took her around to find Murghus and Demetrius and went back to their spot to watch the next match. Demetrius and Murghus sat on each side of Leonidas. Leonidas sat down between Murghus and Demetrius. Anna was sitting down next to Leonidas with his wing wrapped around her.
