“Raphael watched how little Leo squirmed in his arms, giggling and laughing hard. Small chuckle escaped from Raphael. He had never before realized how ticklish Leonardo actually was. Even then, when Raphael had been drying smaller turtle after bathing, Leonardo had been giggling. All the time Raphael had assumed it was because Leonardo liked the feeling of towel rubbing against his scales.
Heart filling with love and joy, old eye stayed on happy small face as the laugh turned more louder, Raphael - on purpose - tickling little turtle tot some more. Leonardo’s laugh was absolutely adorable! It eased old turtle’s feelings, bringing some life and light in his dark world.
Sighing deep Raphael rested his hand on Leonardo’s chest, feeling little heart beating inside. A year. A year ago Raphael had found this abandoned little baby from the bin. The thought of someone being so cold, and heartless, to leave a baby in the bin still infuriated big old turtle, but one look on Leo’s happy face washed all anger away.
Some, surely, would think he’s weird and crazy, but Raphael was so grateful and happy he’d found this little boy. That he actually had been abandoned so that Raphael had been able to find and save him. If he hadn’t, who knows who would had, where Leonardo would had ended up to and so on.
He loved Leo unconditionally from the bottom of his heart and he would do anything for Leonardo. Anything.”
