They are Julio the grizzly, Art the raccoon and Biro the little fox going out without destination. The single volks wagen is Julio's and they decided to start a riding...they don't know to where, but they are enjoying it too much.
"Why not?" was that Julio said when Biro and Art proposed the idea.
Hell yeah! I loved road trips back when gas was under two bucks a gallon. (Yeah, I'm old.) Leave Boston and drive out to Cape Cod or up to Marblehead... Maybe New Hampshire or Vermont. Bring 30 cassettes or so (old, remember?) and jam the stereo for hours while eating up the miles in my '78 Chevy Nova.
I think I'm old too, but we had differents experiences because I would left Texcoco and my dad drove out from there to Michoacan, Veracruz, Oaxaca, or anywhere here in Mexico, they would brang exactly almost 30 cassettes of the greatest hits (80's), and eating quesadillas in La marquesa with the smell of wet forest. Were really cheap spontaneous vacations because we didn't have much money (we still) but we have really enjoyed the life in the way that we can. And our car was...as in the picture...a Volks Wagen Sedan 75. But at difference in this picture, Julio (my character) have a single car with only one sit, hehe, but for those two kids(mainly Biro) is a really enjoyable adventure that kind of things.

Theres' a real Richard Scarry feel to this pic, and that's a good thing. And there's nothing wrong with going for a drive with no purpose. You'd be surprised what you'd find.
