While she prefers to use punches and counters to win in a fight as per the art of Jujutsu, Valerie's kicks arguably hurt more. When paired with Fire Type moves they allow her to deal blows that are the equivalent of being struck with a flaming piston. The downside to having such force and speed behind these kicks is the disorientation it brings to her balance, something that she has yet to master. To Valerie's benefit, the small wings on her back bring overall better stability to her stance and movements than those of a typical Blaziken. This allows for slightly more powerful strikes.
The attire she favors when practicing or fighting is a fireproof gi-like outfit with a fishnet around the torso that stops just before the neck. It allows Valerie to move freely and use her Fire Type moves without worry of disrobing herself. The only part of the outfit incapable of withstanding the use of her Special moves is the necklace. Valerie will always remove it when not sparring (She refrains from using any of her special moves during sparring matches), as it is a treasured keepsake from her Chansey.
