Background/History
Valerie was born into a middle-class family, and mostly raised by her mother and a Chansey that became her best friend. Her father joined Team Rocket shortly after she was born, hoping to change the nefarious organization from the inside-out. It was because of this that he rarely interacted with his family, only sending them untraceable income as his status made him a wanted individual by the law.
Valerie is in top physical condition, having been taught proper eating and exercise habits by her mother at an early age. She is the ideal definition of feminine beauty, polished off with determination and a strong drive to achieve. She enrolled in a martial arts school after learning more about her father. The school in question was headed by a blaziken martial arts master and she soon became one of his better students.
Within a year or two, Valerie found herself developing feelings for the blaziken master. A revelation that she determines to be taboo for multiple reasons, and has made her uncomfortable and less willing to do any type of personal training sessions with him. This has consequentially stalled her development as a fighter and caused her to fall behind some of the other students.
Strong-willed and resilient as she is, Valerie has a phobia of fire after her mother nearly burned their home down cooking. Another fault within her personality lies with the relationship, or lack thereof, between her father and herself. Her whole reason for taking up martial arts was to "rescue" him from Team Rocket and hopefully deal a significant bit of damage to it as a whole. By no means does she like her father, she detests him for what she sees as betraying her mother and herself, but feels an obligation as his daughter to bring him back onto the right path. Mentioning him and, or Team Rocket will cause Valerie to cast off her normally level-headed personality and become confrontational. They are issues Valerie is very self-conscious of, along with her hidden feelings for her martial arts master, and is trying to cope with and change with little success.

Has a fear of fire after her mother went a little too in-depth on treating burns, and seeing her mother accidentally start a oven fire that nearly burned down the house
