I'd feel bad for her if it wasn't for everything stemming from her own stupid decisions. At this point, she should be happy she's just alive after surviving a bullet to the head. Especially since it took entirely too long until she got proper care xD.

Hah! "Unwise". That's kind of you to say. Personally, I'd call it a "suicidal one-woman operation", where she's breaking what I imagine is a crapton of departmental rules.
She John McCained it entirely as a decision of her own making. Except she had none of the reasons for acting rashly that the famed Action Hero has.
Everything she's suffering through now is a direct consequence of her being monumentally stupid. Even John McCain only do his stupidly heroic acts when there's actually lives on the line. She did it because she... Felt betrayed that the guy she fell in love with turned out to be a mafia boss? I could see getting into a one woman crusade to get him put behind bars. You know. The legal way. The way a cop's supposed to do it. Not whatever this was supposed to be. There was certainly no "Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker" moment for this rash cat.

she was crashing after a prolonged exposure of "Love and fuck me"-pheromones/drugs of the dear don Think of being in a cold withdrawl and just meeting this guy will throw you back into the bliss of addiction, a scenario your strained rationality fears more than everything Don´t judge someone for stupit decisions if they are litterally unable to think straight And now after a fine-adjustment via sledgehammer(drugs) she suffers from too much fresh air in her head via aftermarket ventilation hole

Her first bad decision was getting into an unethical prostitution relationship with him (or maybe even working at a strip club in the first place). And most of this probably wouldn't have happened if she hadn't.
That's not to say they were easy choices. Clear? Maybe. Easy? No.
Perhaps "bad decisions" would be more accurate? Her first bad decision was getting into an unethica
Bad decisions plus unfortunate circumstances I would say She wasn´t a stripper by choice and was breaking under financial dept and emotional stress a mobster boss chose her as his main girl because of a cop fetish the point she found out about his true identity, the drugs gone haywire in her brain to mess up future decision making nothing to build a solid/ safe procedure on for future decision making
She just did her best with a trash hand in the poker game of life

'She should be happy' She would have been raped but she should be thankful? Wow dude. [iconname][/iconname] She's a cop. She did her job. They were not stupid decisions. Going alone, sure, but she stood for her own and the law.

I wouldn't say she "did her job" no. I can only imagine that in her little suicidal one-woman operation, she broke a crapton of departmental rules.
She John McCained it, except she was neither badass nor lucky in the way she did it. In fact, she completely failed, and the only reason the "big boss" got taken down was... I don't even know what that was.
Her friend, who I think is a cop too, was an undercover black market medic? If that's the case, there was already an ongoing sting operation against him, and everything she did was pointless to begin with.

She put her own feelings aside to take down a threat. She could have remained silent and reaped the benefits of being with the mafia boss. She didn't. She saw her chance to take him out and took it. Just because she didn't do it all flashy and in style doesn't mean it was 'stupid'. To be more concerned about style points in this situation is missing the point. The result put the big boss behind bars (well, eventually. They said he is paralyzed from the waist down. I assume hospitalized for the time being). She did her job. She was reckless, yes, but nothing she ever did in this comic made rape a suitable punishment for our protagonist. She doesn't deserve to be raped because she stopped a crime boss. The dirty cops were going to rape her simply for the facts she didn't let them get away with their bullshit (stealing food in the diner, and exploiting the fear of civilians) and that the big boss wasn't there to stop them.
Her 'stupid decisions' did not result in assault and rape. This is a group of dirty pigs going on a power trip because someone ruined their fun and they had enough of it. If anything, the bad cops deserve what is coming to them, not the lynx.

When I read it, it seemed clear to me that she was doing it because of her emotions (feeling betrayed) and because her judgement was clouded by the drug from his horns, but maybe that's just how I interpreted it.
I agree that she doesn't deserve rape, but that doesn't mean she's 100% right either.
Of course, even if she did everything right, I suppose it's possible that the dirty cops would've still come after her.

I often feel bad for people because of their stupid decisions, especially if life has stacked the deck in a way that misleads them. For example, I think that getting into credit card debt is, in a way, a fully avoidable stupid decision, but I also think people are often misled into it by the credit card companies.
