In my story I got going which takes place in 1960, eight year Clarence Coyote tells scientists he knows and his adopted family about what will happen in 1963 in a scene such as this...Clarence is from the year 2018, so he already knows from what he learned in history class in the day and time he was from.
However, it was agreed by all not to alter the destined course of time, being that Clarence had brought that information with him from the future...The scientists warned of the possibility of the time continual going out of balance if information from the future of this magnitude was acted upon.
And they also knew how unbelievable it would sound, and how it would come off bad by trying to tell government authorities in 1960;
"
"Hey look. We have a cub who's from 58 years in the future. And he knows the president will be assassinated three years from now".
That info in 1960 would have gotten the attention of FBI in a big hurry...and in the wrong way.

I've seen such shooting speed. In the Empire/Commonwealth part of the training back then was the "mad minute", basically fire as many in 60 seconds as you can. That and being as accurate as hell were valued. And the Lee Enfield wasn't even designed as being a full marksmen rifle either, just general use.
