I'd say there's more to it than just "choke and rape". We could add 'comeuppance' (in their eyes, for her sleeping with Straxus), revenge (for her shitting on their party), silencing her (for things she may know about Straxus that could get him convicted on more charges), controlling her (because it worked in the past, right? (Examples of this are in the comic but it hasn't been explained yet. It will be within the next several pages) She's a wild card and they need to strap her down). I'd say it's not an uncommon thing for them, as their group has done it in the past. Rape is rarely just about sex in the majority of real world incidences, and in most instances, the victim knows the assailant or vice versa. Unfortunately, the rape where at least one party knows the other is less reported than the rape that happens via stranger. The incidences where one party knows the other are the ones where sexual desire isn't the primary reason for the assault. I dislike when shows/stories use rape as a way to paint the character as a villain without logical reasoning behind it. There are easier ways to do it than to hurt a woman with this method. I chose this behavior because there are serious implications behind his actions... Rape is a very uncomfortable topic for me, so to include even a semblance of it is a decision that I deliberated on for a long time.

So honestly I will be very surprised if she can come out of this without outside help. But as we've seen before there's always the blackout go crazy method which might give her an edge. *crosses fingers for our girl*
