Character Sheet for Vivienne Shadrac
Character Description
A necromancer with the heart of a rogue
Aka, she steals, lies, cheats, picks pockets and locks alike, hides, all while letting her minions do the dirty work
Vivs is a character i created for a dnd game with some friends last year, and i still really like her~
I've always wanted to create a "voodo themed necromancer", aka a necromancer who dabbles almost exclusively in poison, curses and mind control. And i finally got my chance with Vivienne, and not to toot my own horn, but i really, REALLY like how she ended up. Both character and gameplay wise.
Personality
Sassy, self-confident, habitual liar, dislikeable, rude, greedy, dominant, yet loyal and protective of the few people she finds herself caring enough for. Cares strangely enough more for the nonsentient feral kind.
She strives to become the most powerful necromancer in the world and wants necromancy to be more respected and for death to not be such a taboo subject. After all, death is natural and something we all do one day so we might as well embrace it and stop demonizing it or search for immortality~
She sees morality as a very loose and inconsistent concept and simply follows the rules laid out by nature itself, if that makes any sense
She loves money, due to growing up stealing and starving she's terrified of ending up without money again so she'll do just about anything for it.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes - Money, when things go her way, easily manipulated people, ancient necromantic knowledge, her zombie horse mount Mr Bonejangles, and riding Cain's perfect cock like a pogo stick
Dislikes - goody two shoes, people who consider themselves morally superior for having x opinion, children, being disrespected, or dominated or tied up. Inconsistency. Abusive families
Background/History
Vivs comes from an abusive and very dysfunctional and impoverished background
She was born to a pair of maned wolves who once loved each other and left everything they had behind to be together, only to drift apart once their lives were hit with multiple tragedies and grew hateful towards each other. To the point where screaming, fighting and physical and sexual abuse became everyday life.
The port town she grew up in was heavily segregated, and had for nearly a decade been ridden with a plague that seemed more like a curse than a disease. Dead corpses littered the streets in slums where Vivs grew up every day, all died from the same disease that once took her parents' first son Peitr.
Her father had once been a thug who tried to turn his life around, but failed and became even worse than before.
Her mother was the only daughter in an extremely wealthy family, but were forced to become a conwoman and prostitute to provide for her family.
While Vivs spent more time with her mother, she had a fairly good relationship with her father despite his abusive tendencies, and he taught her many life skills he deemed necessary. Such as how to steal, lie, manipulate, pick locks and pockets etc.
After her little brother Felipe was born, she was given a new roll in the family: to protect and look after her brother. She grew very close to him, and would often take him aside when their parents were fighting to keep him away from the violence.
But their parents met their ends when Lucien was caught after having murdered a nobleman and sentenced to public hanging, and a year later her mother was murdered by a client.
Vivs witnessed both her parents deaths, and that affected her views on life and death greatly.
She managed to provide for herself and Felipe with her petty crimes, sometimes utilizing her little brother as bait or a manipulation piece, but one day they tried to mug the wrong person: a mage by the name Gwydeon Blue. Luckily, Gwydeon was an empathetic man, and after he caught the children pickpocketing him, he took pity on them instead.
After a while he managed to convince them to let him take them in, where they'd be given a job as his servants and live a good life as his wards.
It didn't take long however until he noticed that the children somehow had a penchant for the magic arts, and after teaching them how to read, write and count, he taught them his arts.
Out of the two, Vivienne was definitely the most gifted. She devoured knowledge like a starving animal, and seemed to have an endless desire for power.
However, the tower the mage lived in had a secret: once upon a time it had been the home of an evil necromancer. The mage had taken over his tower after his defeat to keep his magic sealed and protected, to make sure this taboo craft is never taught.
But with someone as curious as Vivienne, it didn't take long before she had found the sealed room where the necromantic arts were hidden, and she immediately found necromancy to be her art. Her strength.
She taught herself necromancy in secrecy, until a botched reviving experiment alerted Gwydeon to what was going on.
Hurt and betrayed by her lies he was blinded by rage, and exiled her from his home. He banned her from ever coming back. But once he calmed down and realized what he had done, it was already too late. Vivienne was gone.
Fueled with a newfound hate for her old guardian and teacher, she set out into the world to prove him wrong about her and the dark arts she loved. Unaware that her brother, who's still in Gwydeon's ward, is looking day and night for his sister.
Relatives/Family
Lucien and Elenore Shadrac (parents)
Peitr (deceased older brother)
Felipe "Phyl" Shadrac (little brother)
Cain (lover)
World/Setting
A fantasy world where the relations between humans and anthros and non-humans are a little... rocky.
Body
She's incredibly tall and skinny. Her bones are visible through her fur due to her almost emancipated looking frame. She's 6 feet tall precisely, and most of her length is thanks to her long, lanky legs.
She has a rich orange fur color, with a cream white tailtip, throat and pelvic area, dark brown, almost black, muzzle, arms, legs and hair, which are dreadlocked and kept back with a headband.
Her eyes are very intensely, quite unnatural, green. A sign of her magical heritage.
The skeleton bodypaint she wears in some pics is actually the manifestation of her "mage armor" spell. Whenever that spell is activated, the bonelike markings on her face, chest, back, arms and legs appears
Clothing
Her skirt is very special: she is wearing a multi layered skirt that has lots of little special pockets hidden on the inside, which is where she hides her gear, money, and stolen goods
other than that she also wears a headband to keep her dreads out of her face, corsets and a long red dress.
Accessories
Things that she can't fit in her skirt pockets are carried in a satchel
she enjoys decorating herself and her clothes with skulls, feathers and bones. Both for aesthetic reasons, but also because they can be used in her spells.
