Ok everyone. So it's been a while since I've posted any regular fan-art. And I do apologize for that. As it has been a completely train wreck so far this year. Mostly due to Covid19. But I've had a couple personal problems/situations go on lately as well. And it's stuff that also deeply affects me pretty bad too. So naturally I've been pretty unmotivated to draw anything new lately. But thankfully I haven't been away for too long. As my last submission was uploaded 2 months ago or so. Still trying to keep my streak of Fan-art going this year. As I RARELY drew anything at all last year.

But anyways, let's cut right to the chase. So I drew a total of 6 fan-art related drawings this week (of two different characters). And this is the first one I drew, as you can tell lol. And this was a LONG time in the making. I've been REALLY thinking about drawings some Mini Wolf related characters, and keeping my mind set about it for almost a month now. But this week, I randomly decided to make those ideas into a reality, FINALLY lol. And I kinda forgot how EASY fan-art related drawings are to draw. And I'm thinking man, I REALLY should draw more of them. Because they are so easy and MUCH less time consuming to make lol.

So here's the first sketch I drew this week. Again out of 6 in total, and 3 of this particular character. So, this is Gus! And he's from the french cartoon "Mini Wolf" (Mini Loup in Foreign countries). And there's mixed opinions about what type of animal he is. As the series never really tells us what he is. Most say he's a Deer, some say he's a Giraffe. I PERSONALLY say he's a Deer. I mean, he MUST be! The skin color, the nose, the ears, etc. The only part of Giraffe I see on him is his antlers, which is why I think people like the assume he's a Giraffe. But I think all together, he's a Deer.

In most of the series, he plays as a minor/background role in the cartoon. However, he DOES have two major roles in two episodes. One in Season 1, called "Mischievous Gus". And then also in Season 2, called "Stopgap". And from what I can gather in the series, he is actually pretty smart. And it's been shown that he likes to do homework, study, and also play chess. So in a way, you could say that he's "Teacher's Pet" lol.

And he can be pretty active too, when he wants to be. But in general, he's pretty calm and civilized. So much to the point where he normally can't take it when Mini Wolf is all energetic and crazy lol. He's generally very nice too. But WILL NOT hesitate to tell someone to knock it off, if he's being distracted. And he's always willing to help and give advice, as seen in "Mischievous Gus" and "Stopgap". Not that Mini Wolf really follows through with any of it though! Lol

And he does appear to have an accent too, with some lisps here and there. Which is interesting. I can't say I like it personally, but still good voice acting nonetheless. Not saying I hate the english voice they used for him. But I think he probably could have been voiced differently, I think. But again, I'm not going to be the one to judge really lol. I still love this character regardless.

So I've known about this character ever since I got into the series. However, I didn't really pay much attention to him or have a real interest in him. Until a couple friends of mine mentioned him to me. And ever since I got to watch the episodes Gus has a major role in, I INSTANTLY fell in love with this character lol. I don't know if it's because of his overall appearance, or how cute he can look in some scenes. But overall, I just got hooked into this character lol. I guess that's part of watching a cartoon series. Is learning about ALL the different characters, their personalities, their scenes in the series, etc. Again, I take character development seriously lol.

So now that's all taken care of, here's the drawing itself........Lol. So this was from a scene in the episode "Stopgap" from Season 2. And in the scene, Gus is focusing on his game of Chess. Well, trying to anyway. With Mini Wolf running around playing "Planes", it's pretty distracting lol. I figured this was a pose I had to draw out lol. Because it's nothing that requires too much detail. And, again he looks so calm and determend in this scene lol.

So anyways, what do you all think? I think it came out pretty good to me. Again, not much details needed. So it makes for a more clean and easy drawing. This drawing in total only took me almost a half hour to sketch out. And add in darkening and coloring, it's about over an hour or two. So not much time really needed to make this. Which is always well and good lol.
