commission drawing for RelaxingDragon1 whose friend SikDrift seems to have some unusual habits i hate the neologism "toon" for describing a cartoon character but I was having great difficulty thinking of a title!
Yeah, it was a toy car that had a disproportionate big steering wheel coming from the top, I could "drive" it around. Kind of a "remote control without all those pesky electronics" kind of deal. I don't remember if it was supposed to represent any particular brand of car or it was a generic thing. I'm talking ancient history here, that's together with my earliest memories, so it may have been early 1970s.

Oh yes of course, even my now five year old niece had some funny looking little vehicles like that. There used to be little cars that you could get inside and drive around (presumably not very far, if they were powered by typical toy batteries) called "power wheels" that I probably wanted when I saw them on television but my parents would not buy that sort of thing, to their credit, I think. Those were based on real cars which probably made them yet more expensive, even though then, as now, I generally cannot tell one car brand from another. Apparently I even misidentified what type this one is, just because the person who ordered the drawing told me one thing and I assumed it was right.

Tuner Saloon Cartoon! Saloon being another word for "sedan."
And that Nissan Skyline looks an awful lot like a Mitsu Lancer Evo, but then again I've never seen a car with the wheel mounted on the roof either, so what do I know about knowin' stuff?

I know nothing about cars but I was told that it probably was a Nissan Skyline and when I looked up the name I saw cars similar in appearance! I agree that your suggestion seems more accurate.
That usage of "saloon" I was heretofore unaware of! With that in mind I would not mess with it in the context of cartoons because they tend to rely on stereotypes and so few people would have any reason to assume I was not referring to an old west place of imbibery.
