I don't take the time enough to draw outside my niche and I think my art talents have suffered as a result as you can clearly see =P

Anyway, I've been feeling pretty down this week. Maybe due to the fact that one of my family members' birthdays were a few days ago, but they're no longer alive. I had a very negative relationship with that person but eh, the Kawabata Clan isn't getting any bigger. Cap that off with a busy work week and obviously a bunch of other factors and you get a Tacki with poor morale. *shrugs*

But Bob Ross has it right. Drawing fluffy, happy little clouds can help some.

VISUAL DESCRIPTION:
An airship plies the skies. It vaguely resembles an old 19th century ship except the prow slopes downward almost like an imperial ship from Warhammer 40,000. It is connected to the structure giving it lift by two long, brass colored arches to a white, egglike and egg-colored "balloon." The egg would be sitting on it's long side rather than it's "base." The bottom fifth of the "egg," facing the viewer is a dark grey and has a single engine port coming out the center of it. The engine has some unknown method of propulsion and is a light, electrical blue color inside the dark thruster "thingy." Two stubby plane-like wings are visible following the center line of the egg.

The ship's hull is painted a dark grey. There is some brash trim to break up the grey. There are also circular ship windows arrayed in two rows of six along the side of the hull. There are some pointing prow ornamentation at the front of the ship. This is supposed to be a small escape craft. The ship itself is a civilian model and is roughly flat bottomed so it can land almost anywhere. The back of the ship has a giant cargo hatch where people and goods can be loaded on. The size of the ship is probably that of a sloop or maybe a corvette.

The ship is sailing away from the viewer toward a deep yellow sun and a blue sky. The clouds are lit from a bright cream color to a dark shadowy brown. Two large clouds are near the viewer. One cloud on the right is weaving between a small, purple mountain peak and the greater formation it is connected to. There are three large purple mountains. On the left there are two long skinny peaks jutting above a fat fluffy cloud. The Airship is threading its way to the right of those. To the right of the airship is a tall purple mountain split down the middle and forming two separate peaks. Below the airship is a thick wood. Just beyond the wood are two short, round hills. Beyond the hills is another wood forming the base for a large, further distant mountain again split into two peaks. A mountain resembling Mount Fuji is to the left of that still further in the distance.

The color palette used has little red in it. Mostly sky blue, yellows and sea greens for the vegetation.

This could be related to Children of Maeria. =P
