im still working out the kinks in leo and mikey’s bgs but so far:
guess which of the turtles works in hospitality? THIS GUY. Leo’s a waiter for Señor Hueso and his fam, and is at the top of his game. dude loves getting tipped. how does he accomplish this? he’s GREAT at flirting and making people feel cool. he is able to pick which approach is the best for people (including when people just want to be left alone). he’s extremely friendly, witty and chatty and makes friends easily. He’s often invited to parties and just about never turns them down. his special power is his Customer Service Voice.
Leo’s aroace. this very privately worries his dad (he doesn’t get it). but even if his fam don’t “get it” they’re respectful and they do want to learn. but this being the case, his flirting sometimes gets him in trouble when someone doesn’t understand consent. thank god he’s a trained ninja hueso also appreciates it because he doesn’t need to hire security when leo’s around especially now that he doesn’t destroy everything around him
he does feel lonely though. not in the “i want a partner way”, but rather a “i want a good friend”. him and mikey still have cuddle piles, but it’s hard now that mikey’s got partners. he misses his brothers. leo’s not bitter tho. he loves his fam, and he wishes them all the happiness in the world. (spoilers: he definitely does find someone to fill that void. i might attempt to create that person. who the fuck knows)
leo trains a lot now. he’s found his discipline. raph and him spar a lot and they’re close. leo takes it hard when raph decides it’s time for him to step up. he very much still has reservations about his own skills and abilities. despite the fact that it’s very obvious he’s got his shit down pat. but it’s a mess. he takes it extremely extremely hard. i reckon it’s because he has this idea that being the leader means he has to be straight-laced, no fun, completely responsible, etc and that he’s being forced to move away from who he is as an individual. in his head raph has always been “the leader” and him stepping away from that is him stepping away from the family. it creates a rift. eventually someone will point out that he basically manages the restaurant, and he’s still very much himself whilst doing it. this is much the same.
i suppose the last thing to say about leo is that he does not do sex. at all. he doesn’t have a second gender (thank god).
