What's better for a Kmart fan than owning a piece of Kmart history?

Owning your own Kmart, even if it is a tiny one.

I think my layout is complete. I live in a one-bedroom apartment so I think this is a nice layout for what I can do. It is something I can toss onto the floor, and can easily pack away.

It contains a shout out to the Erie Lackawanna. This railroad used to go through my neck of the woods, but sadly it was dying out by the time my Dad was starting to grow up.

I really wish the EL was still around, and I am sure my Dad would agree if he were still around. They had a few really cool bridges and tunnels in our old neck of the woods. Four of the six railroad cars are EL. Also, the engine is EL.

Of course, a shout out to the coolest team in the NFL, the Miami Dolphins. What a cool boxcar. This is one of the two railroad cars that aren't EL related.

There is also a Kmart boxcar. This is a hand-painted item and I am lucky to have come across it.

Then, of course, there is the Kmart. It is a Big Kmart, which isn't as cool as a Super Kmart, but I still like it. The stuff around it is nice as well.

The Hot Wheels 69 Chevy custom is a shout out to my Dad. He owned a 69 Chevy Custom that was blue, and we traveled a lot in it, including several trips to Kmart. This Kmart had a Kcafe that you could get breakfast, lunch, and pizza in. The food was pretty good. We got breakfast about once a month there.

Then, there is the car. This is a Hot Wheels of my dream car, a 1987 Buick GNX. Don't laugh at me for it being a Buick...look this car up...it wasn't your normal family sedan.

My Dad also liked motorcycles so why not a Kmart motorcycle, and I thought the semi was a nice touch. Especially since it features RC Cola. The Kmart I would visit in Sevierville on Dollywood trips had a stand-alone RC machine, so I thought it was a nice touch. :)

Oh yeah, and Paw Patrol. I love Paw Patrol.

HO gauge. It's just the right scale to go with Hotwheels and Matchbox cars.
