Here's the first of my new line of Mayternity 2019 works!
Now when this was originally posted, it was to commemorate not only Children's Day, but also Mother's Day in America, as well as the Channel 5 programme "Saving Britain's Hedgehogs" hosted by Steve Backshall, which as also the main inspiration to this piece, as it is claimed that the British Hedgehog, a British icon, might be extinct by 2025.
Here, the junior star to the internationally acclaimed webcomic Kevin & Kell, who became a mother herself two years ago takes the role of spokesmodel, probably to help her Master's Degree in Science (plus it was confirmed that Lindesfarne was an English hedgehog back in March '98; https://www.kevinandkell.com/1998/kk0330.html, which made her a perfect candidate).
Plus, she not only to wear a nightgown in the colour of her original shirt, but sleeveless bedjacket in the colour of her old waistcoat as well.
Let's hope that N.O.P.E doesn't bother her THIS time around...because although the babies she's carrying are proper hedgehogs, not a mixed breed, it was all done artificially.
NOTE: The only thing I wasn't too pleased with was trying to get the quills right. They were so bunched together it was a little awkward for Photoshop to get right.
