This is called "letting off steam". Because there are two ways to make a drawing. The first is when a person wants to Express an idea that they have come to in the process of thinking. Second: when a person needs to vent the accumulated (and often negative) emotions. Or complexes. Or desire. And they go into the artistic image that he creates. So it is absolutely normal to draw "some stuff" that turns out spontaneously.

And it often happens that the first and second methods are combined. Some writers/artists/Directors make a good career out of it. For example, Stephen king is a paranoid with signs of schizophrenia. All his fears and complexes he pours out in his scary books. And it turns out perfectly.
