Time to submit some more lore of the Lotus Corps... starting with the one being that makes the whole shebang possible: The Great Rainbow Lotus itself!
The Great Rainbow Lotus is a powerful entity whose true form is a rainbow-colored lotus flower. It actively seeks out people who can harness the power of their energy centers, or chakras. It does so by wandering around the world in different forms that it can change into to avoid suspicion. (examples include, but are not limited to: a white cat, an albino snake or dolphin, and a dove) When it does find someone who can utilize a certain chakra quite well, it reveals a robed, human form with a sword engraved with Sanskrit symbols, which it uses to measure that person’s energy output to determine which chakra they can use best. It then gives that person a lotus seed that corresponds to that chakra, allowing them to tap into its fullest power and transform them into a member of that Lotus Corps.
Should the need to defend itself arise, though, the Great Rainbow Lotus is quite skilled in combat. It uses the combined power of all seven chakras to control energy and channel it into flashy attacks, some of which involve its human form and its sword.
