Thank you for commenting on the last page! I'm glad to hear from both sides, how some thought it would be better to live, and some thought it would be better to die. I'm happy to have a readership that has different views for the story. However, no good deed goes unpunished. >:-) http://patreon.com/grimart
This kind of reminds me of an Episode of Guns oke I watched last night.
A Cowboy "killed" a Shopkeep after bring him a Wagon Load of suplies with the promise of $100. The Shopkeep made the guy get drunk with him, then told him he didn't have the money and a fight broke out. The Cowboy woke up the next morning, found the Shopkeeper dead with his own knif buried in him. Marshal Dillen gets sent to bring him in, and the Cowboys just as nice to him as he can be, even saves Dillen's life after they jumped by a half crazed Prarry Man. He get's sevreal chances to run but dosn't. In the end, a no nonsense judge sencentces the Cowboy to hang. Dillen tries one last time to let him go, but the Cowboy comes back to face his fate, a quick drop and a sudden stop.
Two lessons to learn from that. Sometimes doing the right thing ain't always the right thing to do, and Justice isn't blind when she should be.
