Ari is the only daughter of The Arbiter, the overarching antagonist of Taylor's trilogy of books. She was sent on a mission to secure Tayor and bring her back for her father. She has powers that others can only dream of on top of her natural talents and weapons inherent to her species as a crocodile/tortoise hybrid. She is not afraid to also use her feminine wiles to get close to her objectives, much to their regret. One may call her a product of her environment, but she owns her decisions and sometimes revels in them. A lost child to be sure, but she is as dangerous as they come. Someone not to underestimate.
