Fairytan Rescue (p0)
Out in the forest, pokemon lurked around, happy and free. They strolled around their grounds, interacted with other pokemon and sometimes even battled together. In the forest, a legendary duo protected these pokemon from anything that would threaten them.
And as such, more humans investigated the legend of the sword and shield. Two wolves protected this land together and even had some fun whenever they could.
This time around, though, it is Ponyta migration season, a season where various Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash would migrate to this forest to rest for the time being. However, this season would be very different from most seasons the Rapidash Horde had.
Pokemon Poachers were on the rise in an attempt to capture the rarest pokemon for the black market. Many pokemon here were aware of the dangers that this would imply, but migrating pokemon like Braviary and Galarian Rapidash would be completely naive before they got caught and sold.
One Ponyta (Adie) was roaming around the forest along with a Rookidee (Nazeu) and an Oddish (Wedul). While Rookidee and Oddish were both native to the forest, this Ponyta was only old enough to make this the first time she migrated with her family.
As such, they both wandered in the forest, with only luck to hope nothing happens to them.
"Hey hey, so, what's it like up there in the northern plains?" Oddish asked in apparent curiosity, shaking his grassy tufts on his head.
"Well" Ponyta shyly said, not exactly feeling sure what to answer. She was only mildly shy, but she was more unsure how to interact with other pokemon right.
"Hey, it is alright. Wedul, take it easy on her, she is new here" Rookidee replied in a lax manner. He was typically your noble Rookidee that hoped to evolve into a Corviknight someday, so he thought that his first acts of nobility would be to help Ponyta try to adjust to the new environment.
Which was quite calm and foggy, but had a mysterious ambience. The mornings were probably the times of least activity around the forest, as very few pokemon were around. You could see some Girafarig and Aipom trying to pick a few berries and a couple Pidove and more Rookidee flying about, but as far as pokemon activity, it is below the usual.
The forest still brimmed with life, though. The two pokemon were headed towards a beautiful lake that is said to make pokemon and humans' wishes alike come true. Ponyta wasn't even sure what this was about, but she was mystified by the thought of it.
As soon as the two pokemon arrived to the lake, they both sat down and enjoyed the view. Much like the forest, this lake had a view to the other side of the forest, which was just as calm as the side they were on. Water lilies could be seen floating about in the surface of the water while some Lotad or Lombre picked at it. A few Ducklett and Swanna groups swam as well along the water, trying to find their next prey.
Meanwhile, a Wishiwashi or Magikarp could be seen hopping beautifully over the water, making their bodies gleam with the crystalline droplets of water that shone with the rising sun. It was a sight to behold that the trio of pokemon savored in the meantime.
"What's your wish, Nazeu?" Oddish asked Rookidee, turning his gaze towards his avian companion.
"Me? All I hope is for this whole pokemon poachers problem to end soon. What about you Wedul?" The avian pokemon asked back, keeping a friendly demeanor for both his companions.
"I just want to meet the legendary wolves someday" Oddish said and looked up with a hopeful gaze. He closed his eyes and seemed relaxed for a bit, all the while the hopes of ever meeting the legendary pokemon remained in the hearts of his companions.
"Legendary? Who are they?" Ponyta asked softly, somewhat impressed with the thought.
"I don't know. All I know is they sometimes come to the rescue of pokemon in danger, but nobody knows who they are." Oddish said and silence once reigned again. For a while longer, they just enjoyed the clear blue sky as it became ever brighter. Now the flock of Swanna and Ducklett that were down at the lake took off, leaving a light shower of glistening droplets falling down majestically as they left.
Over in the distance, a small pack of Deerling could be seen in the trees. They picked peacefully at the trees and nibbled them calmly. The sight of it was quite relaxing, as they saw the peaceful lives of other pokemon, happy and undisturbed.
"Do you know what you want, Ponyta?" Rookidee asked Ponyta, still somewhat out of the blue as to what Ponyta was called in her family.
"Oh, it's really nothing much, besides, you can call me Adie when I'm with my pack." She said and sighed softly, taking in the view and basking in the sun. Her glorious mane glistened in the light as it gently flowed like if it were covered in rainbows and pixie dust. Her horn felt warm and cozy and her hooves were nice and moist, just the way she liked them. "I'm just happy being here" she continued.
The other two gave small responses and continued looking outwards. With the silence going on, you'd be able to hear anything in a bit of distance. It felt amazing for Ponyta to be away from her protective family for once and be with different pokemon. It felt even better to see how filled with life this place was, as she continued hearing the splashing of fish pokemon in the middle of the lake.
However, their peace was suddenly disturbed by something. A twig breaking, perhaps? It was somewhat confusing for Ponyta, but Oddish and Rookidee were certainly wary of what could happen right now.
Maybe it was a poacher? Or the legendary pokemon being careless? It could be anything at this point, as the two stayed wary for a short bit. Suspense filled the empty air all the while there were natural sounds playing. Leaves were still rustling in the wind gently and some Magikarp and Wishiwashi were still jumping and flopping about, carefree of whatever would happen outside of the lake. The three pokemon that were relaxing, though, weren't much in the state of peaceful after that.
"What's-" Ponyta was going to ask, but she was silently shushed by Oddish and Rookidee. She was whispered to stay alert for any dangers at the time being and to stay aware.
Soon enough, a big Seismitoad came out of the forest, yawning and stretching herself as she headed towards the water.
"Time to hit the hay again" she said before submerging herself into the water. As soon as she appeared, she disappeared without a trace, except by the occasional Magikarp that would splash away from where Seismitoad would likely be.
"Well, that was quite the scare, is it not?" Rookidee commented and landed gently on Ponyta's back, keeping close to his companions in case something happened.
Yet quickly as it happened, Ponyta was wrapped in a capture net, wriggling and struggling as she tried to neigh in alarm, along with Rookidee.
