I freely admit I have no idea how the smart gun works. I know it was made from some spare camera parts the prop department rigged into a weapon, but that's as far as it goes. ^^
Moreover, this sketch is labeled as a 'quickie' (ie, lazy draw) and I've effectively no practice drawing robot parts (but enough excuses). ^^
'Aliens' (1986) is among my favorite movies ...granted, it's not perfect---I don't worship it like most fans of the 'Alien' franchise, but it's certainly among the best 'character' movies ever---you just want to see more and more of the marines in action! ...Yes the marines are the stars. Aside from the queen, the alien is kinda in the background through most of the film (which, IMHO, is for the better).
Finally, 'Aliens' has to be one of the most quotable films, which helps preserve it in one's memory (the movie never gets old). :3
