After Meeka became a surgeon and joined the Hunter's special hospital, she eventually heard about a elite group within the Hunters called the Medic Knights Division. These paladin like Hunters would go out and rescue injured Hunters, even performing life saving surgeries right in the field. After some inquiring and meeting one of the Medic Knight lead surgeons, she was offered to join one of their units on one of their expeditions. These units were made up of stronger type species like wolves and such, so even though Meeka was a world class surgeon, she would have to prove herself in the field to them that she could take care of her own while taking care of others (basically not to be a further burden on them while rescuing other hunters). She was assigned a standard medic knight sword and shield and even though they were a bit big for her, she has some natural talent and was able to hold her own and with her medical skills as well, was able to gain the respect of the field surgeons. After doing the first mission, she would join them occasionally on other missions and her interest in the Medic Knight grew even grater. Eventually, she would fully resign from the Hunter's special hospital and become a full member of the medic knights, focusing more on field surgery as it was more of a challenge for her, she could save those who otherwise would die as they would not be able to get back to the hospital in time due to the seriousness of their injuries. Meeka would still take care of some of her special patients, like Ion and his comrades, as she is still a hunter's surgeon, just in a different unit. She could still reserve operating rooms in the hospital for her direct patients when available, like any other hunter's surgeon who has dependent patients. Ion and his group would also sometimes take on contracts that were extra protection missions for a Medic Knight group if Meeka's unit was involved, as well as in Meeka's downtime, train her on the more combat aspects of field missions
