‘Twas quite a late evening, the twenty-fourth of December, When I received a gift that I’d always remember, I had just undressed and gotten under the covers, For tomorrow I’d open gifts from all of my lovers,
While I was about to dream of the next day’s joys, I was suddenly awoken by a curious noise, A high-pitched chirping, quite loud and absurd, I had to assume it was from another bird,
So I left my room posthaste towards the source of the squawking, To find out all along that it came from my stocking, Covered in a green plumage, with yellow eyes to see, Sitting there in my stocking was a miniature me,
He gandered at me, as I gandered at him, Speechless to this parrot upon the stocking’s brim, Alas he broke the silence with a downwards glance, “I see I’m not the only one who doesn’t like pants!”
Originally, I wasn't going to do anything holiday-related for commissions but my friend BassyWolfeh drew up this adorable little sketch and I loved it so much I had to write a little "Twas the Night Before Christmas" themed poem to go along with it.
This is actually only a small fraction of the original sketch. The original (which includes 13 other stocking stuffers) can be found on his page here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/34306178/
