I heard that the Alco PA are slightly faster than the E7/E8s

Alco PA: 117 mph (188 km/h)
EMD E7: 85 mph (137 km/h)
EMD E8: 85–117 mph (137–188 km/h) dep on gearing
(So the EMD E8 could match the speed of an Alco PA compared to the EMD E7)
