I saw raccoons this way for real and it's really sad. It's crazy howl they just run out in front of cars and many people just speed up on purpose to hit them.
I saw one in a boulevard that bolted across the street to the ditch while a semi truck came and I had to stawp quickly so I wouldn't hit him.
