Fan art of of Legoshi and Haru from Beastars. I'm hopelessly and utterly in love with the manga and it's characters. I fussed with the background for about a week trying to figure out a good one for the scene and ended up choosing Haru's gardening club. This piece went through a lot of iterations.
The dance itself is the Lindy Hop and the music I used in the time lapse is Midnight by the Swingrowers. For those of you who know the story, it's a very appropriate music for those two adorable goofs.
Thanks for the kind words and the fav. If you follow the manga, the music pretty much fits their relationship. At first I knew I wanted to do a dancing scene with them and opted to use their school uniforms. I'm a fan of electro-swing and their uniforms reminded me of the sort of clothing used during the 20's and 30's so I researched dances from the time and decided on the Lindy Hop.
That it reminds you of that song you linked is very good, it means I managed to give a feel of that time and style with the pose and composition, since the Lindy Hop is from that time.
At one time I was also considering Tango, but I'll reserve that for Louis and Juno.

Es una serie de cosas pero creo que ya e resuelto el problema. Tengo una serie de ideas para personages originales que quiero explorar el proximo año que me esta dejando tan enfocado, que mi subconsciente intenta añadir esas ideas al pinup de zootopia que estoy haciendo, con el problem añadido que son estilo completamente diferentes 😂
Pero como ahora estoy consciente de eso, puedo explorar e mejorar ambos los estilos y usar uno para mejorar el otro y al reves tambien.

Nop, I referenced the image from Lindy Hop dance moves photos and build the whole thing right. I simply shifted the angle of Legoshi's right foot a bit up so it wouldn't make things harder to read with Haru's leg. Also as part of Paru's design, Legoshi has long legs proportion wise, so it needs to be at a steeper angle. But yeah, the angle of the pelvis and the leg, the crossing over the rotula, the line of weight between his left foot and torso, all correct.
I put the scars on the wrong eye tho, that I do admit 😂
Granted in real life the move is meant to be counterbalanced by a partner that is more or less your size and weight and not one that's 1/4 of both those things, but hey, fantasy 😂
