Aemi has been making animated Goomba icons of people, and I had to jump on the bandwagon, just like I did for the "swingin'" series earlier. What can I say, the price was right.
Yup! I also remember the goomba shoe powerup from Super Mario Bros. 3's world 5, level 3, showing up in the cartoon as a "Karoobi" powerup, which didn't make sense until I found out about "Kuribo" later and realized it just had the vowel sounds mixed up. (I had what is apparently the PRG1 version of the cartridge, meaning it was correctly translated in the Princess's letter and I didn't find out sooner.)
