This takes place in New Mexico, late one July day in 1960. Oscar Raccoon is hitchhiking his way back home to his folks in Plains, Kansas. Oscar is presently on a stretch of Highway 54 between Pastura and Vaughn.
Miles back down the road hours earlier, six, delinquent, teenage, pit bulls came riding by in a 1959 Cadillac, and one of them spit a mouth full of Old Crow whiskey on Oscar Raccoon...The pic tagged below is the location where Oscar Raccoon had his encounter with the pit bull teens.
The location in the main pic is where a coyote in a 1960 Plymouth station wagon, who was on his way to Santa Rosa to pick up some building materials, was kind enough to stop and give Oscar a ride as far as Santa Rosa.
