InkTober 2019 Day 15 Legend
InkTober 2019 Day 18 Misfit
The Lynx Family again. You guys bored of these folk yet? :P
Christmas scene. Poem is longer, read it below:
"The house is cold
Our tummys grumble
It's hard to make the rent.
But strong we hold
And we stay humble
And monthly make a dent.
Our hand-me-downs
Patched full with stitch
Time and care well spent
But Joy abounds
Our Tree looks rich
Adorned with Ornaments."

I'll never be bored of the Lynx family. I love this one for the happy feels.

This InkTober thing is super-draining, but I think it's well worth it. I looked forward to doing this all year since last year. It's so rewarding!
In my "Brady Bunch" family, we kids (seven of us) were each given $20 by the Mums, and told to buy presents for all your siblings. We made do with packs of Yugio cards, little Dollar Store toys, puzzles, games, art supplies... very difficult but do-able. Getting a bag of extra sparkly rose quartz coloured marbles is sometimes worth more than getting a new PlayStation. <3

I remember Christmases like those. I grew up in a very large southern family & money was always tight. One year we couldn't get a ham or turkey, but my grandma was a master at feeding an army with pennies. She made a huge pot of soup with hamburger, potatoes & onion. So simple, but we all were very well fed & had a wonderful holiday, even without all of the consumerist trappings.

It appears although poor in wealth rich in family and love. So much joy in their faces.

I like how Dad is spending time picking up the kids to reach the top branches. :3

Yup, then immediately sitting down on the edge of the couch and performing Level 1 Surgery to extract the glass slivers. >_<
