I hope you guys don't all hate me for not working on my comic right now. Truth be told, I did, yesterday, working out the layout of the next page, and what happens in the next 6 panels. Trying to make things sexy without ruining the "innocence" of it all.
InkTober is kind of an important event for me; it's a yearly event that cultivates spontaneous art and community involvement. All art levels are welcome, and the more the merrier. Now, recently my schedule changed, and for the first time in five years I get normal weekends off, instead of halfway through the week. I'll try to pick up on things this Saturday.
Now. Todays theme was "Pattern".
I grew up with Dick Tracy, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, and recently... Penny Dreadfuls from H.P. Lovecraft.
Kind of using the theme of "pattern" for crime-solving or investigative work.
Here we have my character cracking down o nthe case of the secret Cthulhu cult in Innsmouth, while a shadowy figure is watching from just outside the window. Danger lurks everywhere, and nowhere is safe.
The poem is a little longer for this one, and it reads as:
"The results come back stronger
The Pattern grows clear
Dark Shadows stretch longer
as Saturn draws near
Of secrets and signs
So much to undo
You regret all your finds
The Cult of Cthulhu."
