Bought a most excellent YCH pic from :linkDeviantStyle:. One which I managed to spin into quite the epic story :D
The faint yelp immediately caught Faye’s attention. To the ferret reporter, that was the sound of both someone who needed her help and a news waiting to be written. Without hesitation, she dashed into the alleyway where the scream had come from, where she found a rat and white wolf she was very familiar with threatening a lizard. The white wolf, Silver, was second in command of the notorious Fang Of Midas gang and currently grilling the lizard on the protection payments he was behind on. His rat henchman, Chico, was threatening the poor guy with a jagged knife pointed at his throat. Unfortunately for the ferret, Chico spotted her from the corner of his eye, jabbing Silver with his elbow to bring the interloper to his attention. “Hey man, I think we’s got a visitor.” The slender wolf glanced at Faye with an annoyed scowl. “Dammit, her again. King’s not gonna like it if you don’t deal with this, Chico. Get her.” “Uh oh.” The panicked reporter turned tail and tried to make a run for it, but Chico skittered at her at frightening speed and had her pushed against the cheap sedan that was also parked inside the cramped alley. “Ow! Hey, lemme go you creep!” Meanwhile Silver finished his business with the reptile shopkeeper. “You’re lucky we have to take care of this snoop now. Have the money ready this time tomorrow. Your wouldn’t like our… debt collectors.” He then threw the lizard to the floor, who scrambled out of the alley without even glancing at Faye. “As for you…” The wolf popped the trunk of their car and retrieved a few items from it, among which bundles of white rope. With Chico holding her down, Silver had the snoopy mustelid tied up tightly in no time. “Stop that! Somebody out there!? Heeelp!! Hee-llmmph!!” Calling out quickly turned out to be a mistake, as Silver grabbed a big rag and crammed it into Faye’s mouth, sealing her lips with a few strips of tape. “Hmmmlph! Hrmmmgh!!” She struggled and yelled fiercely, but it didn’t slow the criminals down from binding her one bit. “Ugh, she’s so damn loud. Ow!” Chico complained, promptly receiving a kick against the shins from their captive. “Hmm, yes, I should something about that~” The wolf said in a mocking tone, fetching a second cloth that he pulled over her muzzle and knotted tightly behind her head. “Allright, that should fix her up~ Chico, load her into he trunk. We gotta dump her somewhere out of the way.” “Mmmmph…” Faye whimpered as she was locked into the dark, cramped trunk and driven off…
It was hard to tell how much time had passed while Faye was driven to the outskirts of Azure City, where Silver pulled her out of the trunk, slung her over his shoulder and carried her up a grassy hill, where he dropped her on the train tracks laid out at the top. “Mmph! Mmh?” Faye grunted into her gag when she hit the tracks quite painfully, panicking as she realised what the criminals were planning. “It’s a shame you’ve been poking your nose where you shouldn’t all the time. You’d be pretty cute otherwise.” The wolf mocked her. “But I guess that’s what you’ve been ‘trained’ to do, haven’t you?” “Nyeh-heheh! Good one, bo- Ow!” Chico chortled, only for Silver to walk back over and smack him upside the head. “Quiet you!” He growled. “Go start the car. If this dumbass cartoon scheme of yours doesn’t work, we’d better be far away from here. And yes, I am blaming you for not packing better weapons than your flimsy knife.” “Fine, fiiine!” The rat snivelled as he climbed behind the wheel, the pair then driving off to leave the ferret captive to her fate.
Faye squirmed frantically while the villains drove off, wheels screeching. “C’mon, Faye!” She thought to herself, trying to undo her bonds. “You’re not going to die like a bad Penelope Pitstop cartoon!” She rolled over to try and cut the ropes on the rough wooden board, when the realisation hit her. “Wait a minute… these idiots didn’t even secure me to the tracks! Put your legs into it, girl, let’s get out of here.” She rolled back and kicked against the opposite rail, hoping to hop herself over the metal bars. However, jumping over those tracks while lying bound like a sausage proved more difficult than she anticipated and after a few minutes she could not suppress a few muffled squeaks of panic, knowing the next train was getting closer and closer. She actually caught herself praying for the service to be delayed… that, and for the constant bumping against the steel bars to stop bruising her shoulders. Then, over the frantic beating of the distressed damsel’s heart, Faye could hear a soft high-pitched whine: the intercity to Azure shores was on it’s way.
“Mh nnmph! Mmph! Mmmnpf! MMGH!!” With one more adrenaline-fueled kick, she launched herself over the rails, onto the grassy hill, where her momentum sent her tumbling down. “Mmmhmmmhmmhggg!! Nnnf!” Fortunately, downstairs a helpful row of bushes was there to catch her, if a bit painfully. “Hmmmmmmphhhngg…” She panted heavily as she watched the train zoom by, waiting for the dizziness, adrenaline and shock to wear off. After a few minutes, she snapped back to focus when she noticed the sun was setting, and Rutger was probably already worrying what kept her so long. With some fumbling, the bound mustelid managed to pluck her phone out of her jean shorts and sure enough, she already had a dozen messages and 5 missed calls from her boyfriend. “Mmng… cmmhn…” a few annoyed grunts slipped past the rag crammed beyond her taped lips and the thick cloth wound over her muzzle: typing a text message while not being able to lift your hands above your waist was a pain in the tail, let alone when stuck in shrubbery.

In the 20 minutes that passed, Faye finally managed calm down a reasonable amount, although hearing another car pull up and Rutger’s voice call out for her made her heart jump. “Faaaye? Where are you!?” “Rmmgr? Rmmgr, mmhph hmmmr!!” At last his footsteps reached her and she saw the raccoons worried face. “Oh Faye… how do you keep getting yourself in these messes? And what are you doing downhill from a… railway…” He sighed as the penny dropped, removing her gag. “Gah… thank you. It wer -pffft!- were those Fangs Of Midas guys. Jerks caught me walking in on their shakedown job and then went all Dick Dastardly on me…” She explained as Rutger helped her out of her ropes. She stood up sand stretched. “Fortunately, they were absolute chumps and managed to roll out of the way pretty eas- Eh?“ She was interrupted by her boyfriend suddenly embraced her tightly. “Faye, stop scaring me like this.” Rutger hugged her tighter. The ferret gave him an apologetic smile, cupped his chin and gave a smooch on his lips. “Rutger I… I’m sorry… You’re right, my snooping is getting in much more trouble than it’s worth and I will make sure to look out better for myself.” Rutger smiled back. “That’s all I ask. Thank you~”
“Now, let’s go home. I’m starving!”
