Science Patrol On The Case

I'm Borgri...Fly me!
set default image size: small | medium | wide
When I saw this lineart of a 1960 Chevrolet Corvair, it made me think of the classic sci-fi series Ultraman...especially those parts where the Science Patrol rushes to the scene of a monster sighting - either in the car of one of their sophisticated jets - with their alien hero accompanying them.
Hope you like it!

I remember those Corvairs when I was a kid and as a teenager.

Here is a 1960 Corvair loud charging commercial I found months ago that I linked in one of my stories.

In my story with the video link, setting in 1960, it was where cubs were watching TV instead of getting on their school homework. It was when a noisy commercial for the 1960 Corvair came on that their parents turned the TV off and got the cubs on their homework.

Can you give me a link to this story?  I'm wondering if the parents bought that Corvair the next day.

I wish I'd ridden in one of those Corvairs.  Unfortunately, my parents were strictly Ford people.  They favored Ford cars over Chevy/GM cars because the GM cars had too many problems: cracked engine blocks, burned-out wiper and window motors, malfunctioning instruments, etc...and that was just in the first year, while they were still under warranty.

It's in part 2 of this story.
Clarence Coyote and Project Courier - Part 2 by moyomongoose

The setting is in 1960. The parents, Al and Marge Coyote, already has a 1960 Chrysler 300 (a very high performance car for the day and time)...Al Coyote is a scientist and design engineer who works for a lab facility designing top secret stuff for NASA and the military, thus Al and Marge can afford such an extravagant car.
I've recently posted part 27 of that story. In part 27, Al and Marge took delivery of a 2nd car they were needing. They had special ordered it a month earlier, the car being a 1960 Plymouth Fury 9 passenger station wagon.  Al and Marge favors Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge cars.

However, there is a fellow scientist, Poindexter Fox, who, because he is practical minded, drives a 1956 Nash...When he trades the Nash in a few years, he might consider a Corvair.

By the way, one of the cubs , Clarence, accidentally arrived to 1960 from the 21st century in the time machine shown in the image link. The machine incurred damage on the way to 1960, and several scientists occasionally attempt to repair the machine with the technology they only know in 1960 in hopes Clarence could return to his home time.
In the meantime, Al and Marge had adopted Clarence, being his original hadn't yet been born. .

I left out a word and ran out of the 10 minutes;
Correction; In the meantime, Al and Marge Coyote (who have three cubs of their own) had adopted Clarence Coyote (age 8), being his original parents and grand parents had not yet been born in 1960.
