NEW ART. Who'da thunk it?

Prize art for Melatovnik - sorry you had to wait so long for it, and thanks for your patience!
Pardon the artistic license taken with everything, but I kinda had to wing it.

Sonic (c) Sega (who I presume also owns his evil twin).
Art by me.

EEEEE! :D This is brilliant--thanks so much for drawing it! I'm loving Evil Sonic's expression and his black finger-less gloves. Oh, and I kinda feel bad for Patch, now. XD Very nice coloring, as well.

The wait was no problem at all! Again, I really appreciate this. :)

I am SO so so happy you like it. ^w^

...I have this image in my head now of Evil Sonic chasing Patch across the hideout going "Come back here, ya big baby! It won't hurt a bit once you pass out!" :D

Haha! And now here I am envisioning Patch yelling out a nice string of French curses as that's happening. Poor guy. XD

I love the way you did the highlights and shading in this picture. Looks like... chalk? Colored pencil? It's awesome, whatever it is. Dialogue's cute, pose is great, even the rusty spoon is awesome looking. Great work! I could go into a million things I like about this picture, but I don't even think I can list them all.

It's watercolor pencils and (black) colored pencil on top of solvent markers, and Staedtler color fineliners on some details (like the eyes). I like to "flat color" and do simple shading with markers and then add shading /highlights with the pencils. I tried out some things for the first time, so I'm happy it came out right. :)

...I don't think I can imagine how long that must have taken to do. So much stuff is done digitally these days, and while that's great, it's just awesome to see such intricacy, skill and effort represented in a physical medium like this. Simply amazing. I can't say enough how much I love this kind of stuff. I'd commission the heck out of you if I could afford to.

Thank you whole-heartedly for that ego-boost!

It does take time - most of all because you have to plan some steps pretty neatly before starting them (and there's no Ctrl+Z option). The solvent markers dry pretty fast, so you have to color every "field" (such as his head up there) in one go, because if you stop and wait in the middle, you're going to get streaky marks. If you time it right, though, you get wonderful smooth base colors to work from. You can trick your way around the streaky problem by hiding the "borders" in the shading areas, too.

I do love to find new ways to use the small arsenal of pens and markers I have and make it blend well; I like having a real paper in my hands when I make drawings. It's like... I feel a little like I'm learning magic tricks every time I get it to work. X3
There's also one pretty important "bonus": the fact that coloring on the computer would strain my wrist even more, and my eyes. I'm already short-sighted, and I spend a lot of time staring at a monitor while writing (and working). And the fact I can't "regret" lines makes me stop and wait between them, so my hand gets some rest.
