This is the scene after H. G. Welson Lynx first arrives to the year 802,701.
The following is an excerpt from the text of the story; Al was to be at the complex for only a few hours that evening, and Marge had promised the cubs she would take them to the Orion Theater in Santa Rosa to see a movie that had debuted the day before, which coincidentally was, 'The Time Machine', staring Ron Taybor Lynx as H. G. Welson Lynx. So being that Marge needed the car for the evening, she dropped Al off at the complex and would return after the movie was over, which should be about the time Al would be getting off from work.
At the Orion Theater in Santa Rosa, The Time Machine turned out to be a movie that Marge and the cubs really enjoyed...And needless to say, Clarence, being from the future himself, was able to identify with the character, H. G. Welson Lynx.
I'm with @FoulCritter - The Time Machine has been one of my all-time favourites, plus it's about 90% faithful to the book, the best of all adaptations, not to mention, one of my all-time favourite books, too... :)
