Demordicai Diamonds Character Art

This is my first time drawing Greta. She, along with her husband, will both appear in my comic, Demordicai Diamonds sometime in the future.

Greta comes from a small secluded village on one of the smaller islands that neighbor the isle of Relma. Her family has lived on the small island for numerous generation and survived on what their island had to offer. When mining began on Relma, a considerable influx of people moved into the area and metalworking became much more in demand and the supplies for it more readily available. Greta's family took up the trade and passed it down from generation to generation and eventually Greta took up the trade herself and became quite skilled at the art of black smithing.

Greta comes from a slightly different breed of ikeeri than the ones on Relma. Her kind tend to be a little larger and stronger than the average ikeeri on Relma. Greta is around 36 years old and her maiden name is Brookstrider.

Determined to make a name for herself (and to satisfy her prideful nature), Greta tried opening her own business but had trouble making and keeping the same business connections that her father had due to the fact of her being female. When a traveling whitesmith came into town and her father gave him quarters by her forge, Greta was up in arms and very angered and frustrated by her father's decision. She would have frequent arguments with the whitesmith, another ikeeri by the name of Trevor, but in time they would learn to work together and a fondess grew between them.

They worked together for quite sometime until Greta's aging father and mother passed away. After that, she and Trevor left to go traveling around the land and peddling their wares. They eventually married and settled down in Aspen Village and opened up a shop combining the wares of both white and black smith.

Greta, unlike her husband, prefers the heat of the forge and the heavier, harder metals like iron as opposed to light metals like tin. She has a very fiery and iron-willed personality and is much more dominant than her husband. It's pretty obvious that she wears the pants in their relationship.

Despite her more manly nature, Greta still has a feminine side. She's not easy to impress and values hard labor much more than store bought sweets and flowers. She always tends to keep an eye on female customers around her husband and gets jealous easily and isn't afraid to raise a ruckus over it. Greta tends to be very conservative and is one for following traditions instead of making new ones. She also has a particular like for music and arts and crafts, sculptures in particular.
