FROM THE 'THEORETICAL REFUTATION' OF RHINOX (First Edition)
“By this point, the number of sentient AI that exist in the known universe is incalculable. Which makes it no surprise that vast numbers of them wish to achieve physicality, one way or another.”
“Most settle for robotic bodies. But the chances of reaching full actualization with just any body is infinitesimal. It was because of this that the progenitors of Cybertron created the first Sparks.”
“If an AI is the equivalent of biological consciousness, the Spark is the equivalent of the concept of the soul; the persisting bridge between consciousness and body, which can continue to host the consciousness beyond death of the body. A Cybertronian can fully actualize with a body compatible with their Spark. The Cybertronian protoform, however, can only trigger ideoformation when a Spark is present. Or, so the common knowledge goes.”
“Theoretically, an independently emergent digital intelligence could inhabit a protoform and trigger ideoformation sequence, but it would have to have not only undergone extensive and likely traumatic identity forming crises, it would have to have experienced, and successfully repulsed, or at least survived, attempts at fragmenting its identity, not to mention that it would have to prove capable of existing independently of whatever operating system it was native to in order to inhabit a protoform. Frankly, the odds of a sufficiently advanced AI meeting even just one or two of these conditions are astronomically low.”
The following passage is angrily scribbled out.
"All of which is to say that Tarantulus's claims of constructing some kind of "Digi-device" to harness some kind of "Odaiba Phenomenon" are at best laughably ridiculous and more likely a dangerous deception."

Between the two of them, Silverbolt’s appearance is the more unusual among the biological populace. The error that resulted in him being a Fuzor resulted in aspects he can’t properly hide with transformation.
As for Matrix, he’s just a green guy with a prosthetic eye.
Something I haven’t quite spelled out in this continuity is that pretty much every sentient being is “human”. They’re not a separate race. But humans, as we know them, do exist. They’re just called something else.
Trouble is I can’t decide what to actually call them. The best I can really think of is something along the lines of “homo” or “hominina”? “Paranth”? “Sapiens”? I can’t go with “Terran”, because that’s just everyone from Earth. “Androthi”? “Werman”? I’ve got no real strong feelings for one idea over another and I’ll probably just avoid ever defining it.
