Ahh, I'm too lazy to look for/update the sketch I already submitted.
Was working on the background for a different picture (of the same chipmunk character, I think) and felt the sudden urge to try and finish this older one... well, mainly I just wanted to replace the random staff thingy with something even more cliche (a giant paint brush!? the horror! D8) but ended up going into a 'Strange Mood' (argh! Dwarf Fortress... it consumes me!) and turned the sketch into this. Complete with sound effects! 8D ... I don't know... it's still missing the lightning, though... and a background... OF DOOOOOOOOO-Muh! I can already hear the aether popping and crackling with barely contained magical energy... at least, I think it's magical. Let's see, there's some lightning, definately, and some background doom... uh.. but I can't quite make out the rest over the abominable noise coming from the crack in that whirling vortex between dimensions... it's pretty drafty, too. And the poster I tacked up over it does absolutely nothing to help the situation. But...who do I call to fix that sort of thing? X3
Strangely, though, I stopped working on it at one point, then went to work on it again, completely forgetting I had closed the program and my exact words (out loud) were:
"What- where is? Oh right. I closed it, didn't I. But I wasn't finished! Why did you close it?"
Then I (basicly) thought:
... but... but... It's just me here! Who the hell was I talking to?! ... unless... no... no it couldn't be, heh. That's just silly... pretty funny, sure, but impossible, of course... as if my old 'evil-chipmunk' character hijacked my voice, somehow, and complained that I hadn't finished drawing him... he couldn't do that anyway... c-could he? O_o How is that even possible?! D8 Oh god, and I'm trapped in here with him! Help!
... well, it was pretty funny... you totally had to be there. In my head, that is. =P
I do like his formal attire... for, y'know, bringing doom down upon the doomed heads of my-er, his doomed enemies, and all that! ^_^ Fun! Also, the giant paint brush. Is there a place that makes those? 'Coz I totally want one! XD
I tried to get the lines down with one stroke of the brush/computer mouse (I think it turned out well this way),rather than shaving away at half a dozen scribbled lines with the eraser/computer mouse (explanation: for me, perfect computer-generated vector lines are... just not. I'll honestly scribble and chissel away at a picture for hours, until the lines are 'perfect', for a given value of 'perfect'; that is, until it looks right! Imagine, for a moment, that I've seen the pictures in the future, and know exactly what they're supposed look like, though I couldn't give you explicit instructions as to which pixels to colour, or anything), as I usually do... because ARGH! it's like chiselling stone! >_<
Now, back to the ground with that other picture... I mean... back to the grind... with the background... of that other picture... heh. Sorry, that was terrible. XP Why do I only come up with comedy gold when there's nobody to hear it? (or read it, in this case!... assuming anyone actually reads this stuff...) XD
