Oh my gosh Ristar. But..
Am I missing something? I remember his Dad from the original game but I wasn't aware there were any other Ristar games out..

She only appeared in the intro of the JPN/PAL(?) version of the game.
The dad was mentioned in the US intro and partially shown in the ending.

Ooh.. gosh I must have missed her appearance when I played through the Japanese version x.x I'm afraid she wasn't in the PAL one either.
The differences I caught were the switch from Greedy brooding on the barren planetoid and the sad little change to Ristar's facial expressions in the levels at large. Well and the planet names.
